The amusement is set inside of the universe of Forgotten Realms, a crusade setting of Dungeons and Dragons.

The diversion is a pretending computer game set inside of the Dungeons and Dragons universe. It highlights normal races and classes of the Forgotten Realms setting. The amusement is set in the anecdotal Sword Coast area of super landmass Faerûn on planet Toril. Design are in 3D with an "isometric" perspective. It looks like more seasoned Dungeons and Dragons diversions, for example, the Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights arrangement. One noteworthy expansion to the diversion is that it permits players to be a "cell expert" (or DM). In this way, the amusement will look like the tabletop form of Dungeons and Dragons. It highlights single-player and co-agent muliplayer modes. The diversion is accessible on a few stages including Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It was discharged in 2015. The amusement was coordinated by Dan Tudge, the president of N-Space and the executive of the widely praised Dragon Age: Origins. Inon Zur, who already drove the music advancement of Dragon Age: Origins and Fallout 3, made, created, and directed all the music for the amusement. The music was performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra
