Marine arrested in University student's murder

A capture has been made regarding the New Year's Day homicide of Sara Mutschlechner, an understudy at the University of North Texas.

Eric Jamal Johnson, 20, was taken into care in the wake of being situated in Yuma, Arizona by the U.S. Marshals Service Tuesday morning after a warrant for his capture was issued by the Denton Police Department. Johnson is a Marine and was positioned at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, as per Marine Corps Public Affairs Officer Capt. Justin Smith. Johnson was captured at the base at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Denton Police said Wednesday that they trust Johnson was the shooter, and that four others were in his SUV when he pulled the trigger. Police are regarding the four others as persons of hobby, and are attempting to meeting them, said Denton Police representative Officer Shane Kizer.

Denton police criminologists were in Arizona Wednesday to meeting Johnson. The need to remove him to Denton County, which could take a few days to a few weeks, contingent upon whether Johnson waives removal.

Powers have looked Johnson's SUV, yet wouldn't go into point of interest on what they found. They are as yet hunting down the homicide weapon.
