Alabama Wins National Championship
No. 2 Alabama, drove by the Heisman Trophy champ Derrick Henry, crushed No. 1 Clemson, 45-40, on Monday in Glendale, Ariz., to win the College Football Playoff title.
Henry kept running for 158 yards on 36 conveys, scoring three times, for Alabama (14-1), which now asserts 16 national titles, including four under Coach Nick Saban. Kenyan Drake additionally gave a major blow, giving back a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown in the final quarter.
